Aiming to support and showcase the work of young film-makers from across the country, the competition helps to discover exciting new talent.
The top prize is £30,000 (!!!) funding and a year’s worth of mentoring from BFI; 13 shortlisted films will also be shown on-screen in cinemas across the country throughout the year. There is a third prize category, too; the winner of the People’s Choice Award will receive mentoring from the BFI as well as £5,000 of funding.
Films can be no longer than 2 minutes and 20 seconds. All entries will be uploaded on to the competition’s website.
