GET PAID TO MAKE MARSHMALLOWS!

Well, kind of. Boomf (the personalised marshmallow company founded by the Duchess of Cambridge’s younger brother, James Middleton, in 2013) is looking for an intern to join its team – and has launched a competition to find the perfect candidate.

The premise of Boomf’s Art Of The Mallow contest is simple: the company will be searching for a young creative with a knack for turning the arty into the yummy. To apply, you simply need to create three original marshmallow designs, with five short-listed applicants being quizzed by a panel of experts (including founder James and company collaborator Veronica Dearly) before the overall winner is picked.

And what does the lucky winning mallow-designer stand to gain? Well, quite a lot, as it happens. As well as receiving a £500 cash prize and a percentage of the profits any time their designs are purchased, the winner will also receive a two-month paid internship at Boomf HQ.

Says James Middleton of the delectable opportunity: “Boomf was born out of ingenuity and we believe there is so much creative talent out there just waiting to be found. We can’t wait to uncover a great artist or designer whose work can help our customers express those delicate shades of feeling that they didn’t even know they had”.

To apply: send three original images to artofthemallow@boomf.com by 6 July 2015 – these can be illustrations, photographs, graphic designs… Get creative! Images need to be 640 x 640px, and convey a sense of occasion or emotion. Please note that the five short-listed entrants will be asked to submit a further six images to present to the judging panel.

Good luck!
