Says Louise: “The act of baking at Christmas is very important to me, and I believe smells of cinnamon, ginger and mulled wine have the power to instil Christmas cheer above all else. Me and my dad have made elaborate gingerbread houses the past few years (although never attempted anything like a gingerbread bridge), but this year we are attempting Christmas cakes for the family. Such acts of making together and of course eating together are my favourite part of the festivities, because it creates connections and bring joy in the simplest way.”
